Specificity:
Specifically reacts with an epitope encoded by
exon v6 on variants of human CD44.
Expression of CD44 variants, especially the v6
variant, is associated with gain of metastatic
potential during oncogenic progression
Species Reactivity:
Human, others not tested.
Ig Isotype: mouse IgG1
Format:
100 μl at 1 mg/ml antibody in 10 mM PBS, pH
7.4, with 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal. Purity
>95% IgG1 as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage and Stability:
Store at –20°C. After opening, aliquot and
freeze at –20°C.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:

Flow Cytometry: Use a 1:20 dilution.

Immunohistochemistry: (Acetone-fixed cryostat
sections, cell smears, and paraffin-embedded
tissues)- Use a 1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution for
cryostat sections and an APAAP, PAP, or the
three stage immunoperoxidase detection
method. Suitable for paraffin-embedded
tissues after microwave treatment (1 x 5 min),
use a 1:500 dilution or 1-2 μg/ml.

Western blotting: 1-10 μg/ml
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
